On June 19, the first international conference of the Ukrainian lime industry Association was held in Opole, Poland, on the topic LHOIST’s Experience in building of the largest lime business in the world. The conference was made possible thanks to the direct support of the Central Europe division of the LHOIST Global Corporation, represented by its head Mr.Piotr Biskup.

CONFERENCE PARTICIPANTS

The conference was attended by more than 50 representatives from all regions of Ukraine, including representatives of the main limestone mining companies, as well as leading lime producers. The international character of the conference is highlighted by the participation of representative foreign companies, including the hosts of the conference — LHOIST, representatives of Carmeus, Nordkalk, SMA Mineral AS, Maerz Ofenbau AG.

ORGANIZATION OF CONFERENCE

The conference consisted of two parts: a plenary session and a practical part — an introduction to the production units of the Polish LHOIST.
